Kim Cruz , our Youth Coordinator, is a Navy Veteran who was saved by amazing grace in 2006 and has been attending CBC since 2010. She is very close to her family who proudly hails from Toa Alta, Puerto Rico (PR) and collectively enjoys music, movies, food, and the beach (especially Playa Flamenco in Culebra, PR). When the youth did not have a leader in 2016, her younger brother Raf challenged her to step up to the proverbial “plate”. While she initially resisted and made other plans in light of her lack of experience, God, in his usually manner that Kim has grown accustomed to, “wrecked” her plans and revealed His… being involved in the lives of young people. In faith, Kim took baby steps at first and volunteered to teach Sunday School. However, God prophetically confirmed her calling during a Soul Care conference which was evidenced by her invitation to officially lead the youth in 2017. Since then, in her own words, “Those kids changed my life and stole my heart. Seeing God through their eyes is so amazing and refreshing. Our Youth Group is the future of the Church. These times are tough on them and they are so thirsty for something and it’s our responsibility to lead them to the only One who satisfies, the Spring of Life and Father of Lights… It’s our job to remember what it’s like to be young and be there to support, uplift, encourage, and love them so they, in turn, will grow up to be Jesus to the world.”

Kaz Fleming began serving as our administrator in March of 2018. Prior to that, he served for five years as Office Manager at New Life Fellowship Church in Elmhurst, NY in the borough of Queens. He first discovered he was gifted in administration while rising in the ranks from mail room clerk to eventually becoming the facilities manager at what is now known as FXCollaborative, an architecture firm in Manhattan. Kaz grew up in Westchester in the city of Mount Vernon; he thoroughly enjoys fellowship and showing hospitality and his interests include listening to music, writing and performing poetry and spoken word, playing board games and video games with his family, and laughing with people (not at people). Kaz has been married to his best friend Roshan since 2006 and they presently reside in Peekskill with their two sons, Adericio and Ammason.
